Works No.: ST/99/37
Built: 1999

The Trust is delighted to announce the generous donation of the last surviving Geismar Steel EGO3 Two-
Seater Trolley (Works No. ST/99/37) to our fleet . The Trust now has examples of Geismar EGO3, EGO4 and
EGO5E Trolleys in our fleet.

Alongside this, the Trust has also received a purpose- built Road Trailer designed for transporting rail trolleys.
The Trailer has not been used in some while and therefore requires a thorough overhaul / service to ensure
it is road-worthy and fit for use. The Trust has received an professional survey report on the Trailer and we
are now working on a plan to address the required work. When all the work has been completed, it will
allow the Trust to transport / move many of the vehicles in our fleet and as such will be a huge step forward
for the us.

Both of items were donated to the Trust by David Buck and were collected from his private railway in Fifield,
Berkshire in late 2023. The Trust would like to place on record out sincere thanks to David for these
generous gifts to the Trust.

The Trolley will initially move to the TRTT Shropshire Collection at the Tanat Valley Light Railway. The Road
Trailer will be put straight into service, moving other Trust vehicles, once it is available.

Help Needed

The Trust continues to appeal for funds towards the £10k target we set ourselves last year and hopes that as
we are able to share more positive news, more donations will be forthcoming to enable us to move more of
our collection to our secure locations, provide further suitable storage accommodation for some of our older
& more historic vehicles and make some significant progress on several restoration projects.

Donations can be made as follows:

Sort Code: 30-98-90

Everyone’s urgent support would be very much appreciated.

Thank You

The Trust would like to thank the Board of the Cholsey & Wallingford Railway for giving the Trust the opportunity of adding this unique vehicle to our fleet and also Dawson (Structural) Engineering Co. Ltd for carrying out the move very professionally and efficiently.
